Should You Try a Wheeled Push Sled?

Traditional push sleds were once reserved for the football field but have made their way into gyms, rehab centers, and people's backyards and driveways. Now that Wheeled Push Sleds have gone mainstream, are they hype or worth the investment?

As with any piece of exercise equipment, you get what you put into it. Gently cycling or slowly walking on a treadmill isn't going to do much for your endurance or stamina without challenging yourself. Neither is doing a few reps on free weights and calling it a day.

Our wheeled push sleds are unique because they scale with your athletic ability. The harder you push our XPO Trainer, the more challenging the workout. If you're new to working out, you can start slow and still feel the impact of a Wheeled Push Sled without feeling overwhelmed. Our XPO Trainers are even used in rehabilitation centers to help people with injuries recover their strength and mobility.

It's true not all push sleds will live up to the hype. They're often difficult to move, damage surfaces, and are noisy. Our XPO Trainers are different. They're powerful and versatile enough for a full body workout. Give the XPO Trainers your all and you'll feel it in your core, legs, glutes, arms, and more.

What is a Wheeled Push Sled?

You're probably familiar with traditional sleds you see out on the football field or sitting in the corner of your local gym. However, a wheeled push sled is built with mobility in mind. We included wheels on our XPO Trainer to make them easier to use without compromising your workout. They glide against your floors, driveway, grass, and most any surface without risking damage. Unlike traditional sleds, they can also be transported easily so you can take your workout on the road.

Do I Need to Add Weights to an XPO Trainer?

Traditional sleds require weights to make your workout more challenging. Although you can add weights to our wheeled push sleds to offer more traction, on the surface you're using they don't make your workout more intense. You just push harder and the eXPOnentional resistance curve will also increase. You can also use free weights or machines as part of your fitness strategy, or rely on the XPO Trainer and its resistance curve to increase your strength instead.
