FAQ - Can the XPO Trainer Be Pulled or Dragged?

One of the questions we get most often is "Can the XPO Trainer can be used for pulling and dragging?" We thought we would take a minute and explain our thoughts on this popular topic.

Update: Our super creative customers have shown us that the XPO Trainer can absolutely be pulled in more effective ways than we thought possible!

Our original design and intention was to make the best push sled possible. And this best push sled is the product we sell today, the XPO Trainer 2.

That being said, there are a lot of you out there that still want to pull your XPO Trainer in various ways, and we want to highlight your creative genius! There are many different straps and attachments that can work, and we will highlight some of our favorites here.

Whether pulling or pushing, remember that the front wheel must remain in contact with the ground and maintain traction. This is how the resistance is created.

World long drive champion Justin James (@justinjamesgolf) uses two straps and a band in the video below for a backwards pull. Check this out for a description of just how he sets it up, and note that he attaches his straps to the handles. We find this to be the best option for maintaining the center of gravity and keeping the front wheel on the ground.

In the video below, Josh Koch (@joshkochgolf) uses his TRX straps to pull the XPO Trainer. He also has them attached to the handles here, which keeps the center of gravity in the best place for pulling.

We see The Fit Boss Elmer Bench taking his XPO Trainer out for a drag often on his Instagram account (video below). He has his strap connected to the very front of the XPO Trainer. This works great for lower speeds where you don't have a tendency to lift the front wheel off the ground.

If you get creative with pulling and dragging our XPO Trainer, we'd love to know so we can point others your way. Please tag us on social using #xpotrainer!
