The XPO Trainer and the Home Gym in the Aloha State

Aloha! This month we wished we were having an in-person interview on the beaches of Hawaii while we visited with XPO customer, Brandon Ito. Forty-seven years old, Brandon lives in Honolulu, Hawaii and has been working out in his garage for the past 15 years! He's a garage gym pro and shared that he typically lifts weights three times a week (dumbbell chest press, squats, deadlifts, cleans, pullups, and core work). And then on "non-lift" days, his workouts consist of jumping rope, sled sprints, kettlebell swings, and riding the Peloton. We were excited to learn how he's incorporated the XPO into his home workouts!

Why did you purchase XPO Trainer(s) for your gym/home gym?

I was looking for a sled that I could use in my residential neighborhood without upsetting my neighbors. After doing my research and seeing so many satisfied customers, I decided to purchase the XPO. The free shipping (with Amazon Prime) to Hawaii was a huge plus as well. (and just to let you know, we should have XPOs back in stock on Amazon within a few weeks!)

What benefits do you see when you add sled training to a workout routine?

I love the XPO! This thing will smoke you!

Sled training allows me to develop power and cardiovascular endurance. I played football from age 6 thru 21 and, as an offensive lineman, am very familiar with the benefit of pushing sleds (be it a 5-man sled or an XPO). My children are also athletes, and they use the sled for the same reasons.

What makes the XPO Trainer different from other sleds you've used?

The convenience of not needing a ton of weight plates simply for the sled is huge. If I purchased a traditional weight sled, I would have to pack it up along with hundreds of pounds of iron and lug it to the park. As I mentioned above, the XPO is quiet. I don't think my neighbors would appreciate the sound of metal grinding on the asphalt as we sprint up and down our street!

What is one of your most memorable workouts using the XPO Trainer?

My 13-year old son and I were doing 40-yard sled sprints last week. He did 5, and I did 10. Let's just say that I managed to keep my lunch in my stomach!

Thanks so much for sharing with us, Brandon! We love hearing from our customers...all over the map!
