The XPO Trainer from a Coach's Perspective-CrossFit Threshold Miami

We are excited to feature CrossFit Threshold in Miami, Florida this month! CrossFit Threshold is the oldest CrossFit affiliate in Miami, established in 2008. This box boasts a huge kids fitness program featuring the Youth Empowerment Systems YES Program. This is a character-driven, level-based fitness system created by Coach Antony Graf. It was officially launched in 2016 and now there are over 20 YES affiliates worldwide and growing! Coach Graf often uses the XPO Trainer with the YES program, and here's what he had to say about our sled!

What makes the XPO Trainer different from other sleds you’ve used?

We have always loved the benefits of prowler work but rarely use them because of the difficulties with setup, danger, annoyance and inconvenience. We recently added a program called MME which stands for Mind-Muscle-Elevation. It is a foundational functional fitness program based off of block periodization versus constantly varied functional movement. When committing to this program, we decided to invest in certain equipment like a cable pulley system, incline/decline benches and landmines to help with versatile, uni-lateral movements. We also knew we needed XPO Trainers to safely and conveniently increase engine work. The feedback from our members and trainers so far has been exceptional and we are so happy we have added them to our gym!

What makes the XPO Trainer different from other sleds you’ve used?

The XPO Trainer saves us a tremendous amount of time, convenience, and annoyance. In the past, we would use our sleds/prowlers about once a month and on more than one occasion, people have gotten hurt setting them up and putting them away. Not to mention, they were extremely loud. Over time, they also fell apart from the constant contact with the pavement.  As an owner of a faculty, this makes us shy away from using traditional sleds.

What is one of your most memorable WODs using the XPO Trainer?

It's hard to choose just one, but our favorite to date is as follows:
